Step 1 – Peel and dice the potato. Dice the beef, mushrooms, carrots, and onion into bite-sized pieces.

Step 2 – Add the beef stew meat, potatoes, mushrooms, carrots, onions, garlic, Worcestershire sauce, salt, dried thyme, black pepper, bay leaf, and beef broth into a 4 quart crock pot. Click for a 4 quart slow cooker crockpot.

Step 3 – Stir to combine, cover the crockpot and cook on low for 7 hours.

Step 4 – Add the flour to a bowl then add about 1/2 cup of cooking liquid and whisk until smooth.

Step 5 – Stir the flour mixture into the stew and add the peas to the crock pot. Stir to combine.

  • 1/2 tsp dried thyme
  • 1/4 tsp black pepper
  • 1 bay leaf
  • 1 cup unsalted beef broth
  • 1/8 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1/4 cup frozen peas
