Where is the Dark Ether Trophy chest? ›

Ethereal Trophy Vault is a location in the Arena District of the Imperial City. The vault is a room containing a treasure chest, which can only be opened once the Vestige has obtained 60 Key Fragments (obtained from enemies around the city and in the sewers) and contains randomized pieces of the Willpower armor set.

Trophy Vaults are locations found only within the Imperial City or its group dungeons. They can only be opened by collecting a number of Key Fragment trophies. These fragments have a chance to drop from all enemies in the districts and sewers areas, but only Patrolling Horrors are guaranteed to drop one.

Clawed Trophy Vault is a treasure vault located in the Arboretum of the Imperial City. It can be opened with 60 Key Fragments.

Put it in your bank and wait until you are Level 50, CP 160, then go to the Imperial City and use it to open the Planar Armor Trophy vault in the Elvan Gardens District. If you use it now, you'll get worthless, disposable Lvl 12 gear.

There are two ways to get into the Dark Aether.

The first way is by obtaining a Sigil. The only way to get this is by doing the small easter egg to open the portal at F6. As soon as you kill the Abomination, it'll drop one, and you can place it on the left-hand side of the portal, and the portal will turn purple.

You can acquire four 30-slot coffers and four 60-slot chests, for a combined total of up to 360 storage slots. All four coffers share the same visual appearance, but each has a unique name and can be nicknamed for easy organization. Chests work the same way, with their own shared appearance.

The best place to farm is in Deshaan, where there is a TON of potential chest spawns likely to drop this much sought-after gear. This route is pretty simple and you should be able to knock it out in a matter of minutes.

The White-Gold Tower is located in the very center of Imperial City. You can also access White-Gold Tower specifically by using the Dungeon Finder.

Monstrous Tooth Trophy Vault is a treasure vault located in the Temple District of the Imperial City. It can be opened with 60 Key Fragments.

Daedric Shackle Trophy Vault is a treasure vault located in the southern yard of the Imperial City Prison in the Imperial City. It can be opened with 150 Key Fragments. To reach the vault, enter the Imperial City Prison and turn right.

The first recommended location for Dark Ether Cane is the Dreaming City, with its Rift Generator Public Event providing a particularly good opportunity for farming the ingredient. Scorn run rampant in this event, and players that complete it several times should walk away with quite a lot of Dark Ether Cane.

After you kill the Abomination, a Reward Rift will appear, and inside, you'll be able to collect the Sigil. This can be used to open the portal and enter the Dark Aether. To use the Sigil, you'll need to go to the left-hand side from where the Mega Abomination walked through.
