When it comes to magic mushrooms the biggest challenge comes when you try to purchase them. Many countries have made them illegal as a controlled substance. When buying magic mushrooms online you will find that the only species available is the Psilocybe Cubensis. Even though there are over 180 different species of magic mushrooms you will have difficulties with finding them.

The interesting thing about the Psilocybe Cubensis is they have it broken down into over 40 different strains. The location of discovery or people mixing strains to form new ones are the reasons of this breakdown.

There are several different options to look at when you buy them online:

1) Psilocybe Cubensis Grow Kit (USA Legal)

This Magic mushroom grow kit will include a box with a substrate fully inoculated with magic mushroom mycelium.

This option involves you exposing the mycelium to air, light and water. Then it will start to fruit and produce mushrooms in as little as a week.

While this option sounds the easiest it is a little more difficult to get in every location. Besides, since 80% of the places have made it illegal most places wont even ship the grow kit to you. Even if they ship it there could be a chance to get it seized at customs if you shopped internationally.

The easiest and safest way to shop online would be buying a spore print. This will allow you to get it anywhere in the world without risk of it being seized.

Please note if you attempt to grow magic mushrooms within the USA that is a federal crime. You could even be facing jail time. Please seek the advice of a lawyer before attempting to grow magic mushrooms to better understand the law.

2) Sport Print

A spore print is created by cutting off the cap of a mushroom and placing it gill side down onto a piece of foil. You then place a glass cover over it to cover the cap. You then let it sit for 24 hours and come back. When you lift of the cap it will leave behind thousands of little spore that you can use later. Then you can crape them into some distilled water and adde to a syringe.

You will then take this syringe and inject the spores into a substrate. This would be the type of soil you want it to grow in.

You can store the Spore Prints for up to 2 years in the fridge. It is also possible to inoculate up to 7 different substrates. This would be by far the cheapest option since a spore print would cost less than $30. Besides, it would produce up to 400 wet grams which would come down to around 30 dried grams.

If you produce mushrooms 7 more times that could be a potential for 200 dried grams for less than $30. Not to mention that since you now have the actual mushroom you could simply create your own spore prints. You will essentially have an infinite return on your investment.

3) Spore Syringes or Vials

Your last option would be to purchase a spore syringe or vial that already has the spores mixed with the distilled water. This is a good option for some species if they don’t sell the spore print.

For example, if we look at the high sought after Penis Envy strain of the Psilocybe Cubensis mushroom. It is almost impossible to find a spore print for this mushroom because only 5% of it’s mushrooms produce spores. That being said, you may only find this species available online in s syringe or vial.

2) How and Where to Find Magic Mushrooms in the Wild

If you live near a forest then you can learn about the habitat that the mushrooms grow in and see if that matches any habitats near you. The problem here is if there is a location that grows them most likely other people will already know about it and you will never get any.

The biggest advantage to buying it on the street is someone else has already taken the time to grow it and dry it out for you. A process that can take a couple months if you were to do it yourself.

The easiest way to find someone on the street that sells magic mushrooms is to ask someone who smokes marijuana. Whoever they buy marijuana from would probably know someone that sells magic mushrooms.

** The biggest thing to keep in mind is that the cops are most likely not going to arrest you (at least in the United States) if you have these mushrooms for personal use. If you are growing them for profit that is a whole other thing.**

Now you know all the different options for obtaining magic mushrooms. The safest option is to order your spore print online because it’s basically a piece of foil in a zip-lock bag that you would receive in the mail and would not set off any red flags.

The company I recommend you buy them from ships them in completely anonymous boxes so no one would ever know what’s inside or where it came from.

You can then safely grow your own at home for personal use and enjoy all the amazing health benefits of magic mushrooms. Finding them in the wild is a safe option as well but normally if there is a location that is known to grow them you will be lucky if you ever get any because most people will get to them before you.

Obviously if you choose another option it will be a little more risky and very risky if you plan to sell it for profit.

2. Hi, great information here. I suffer from C-PTSD, recently diagnosed after over a decade of being misdiagnosed and treated for Generalized Anxiety Disorder. I tried ‘shrooms recreationally decades ago and… enjoyed them, but at the time I was unaware of their use for treating mental disorders. I’m wondering, once I get my first grow kit, I plan to save a few for spore prints and I’m wondering if I can just get substrate. I don’t live near a cow pasture. I’m wondering if I can just use regular potting soil. I would love to be able to live my life not controlled by my ruminations on past trauma.

I’m finding your website to be very interesting, especially the part about where to get magic mushrooms, particularly how to grow them.
I was wondering, however, about the kits available online without the spores. Spores would have to be ordered separately from another website. Have you had any experience with these, and if so, what did you think? Except for the spores, it seems getting all the equipment together in one shot may be more expensive than gathering it up separately, but also less of a hassle, especially for a newbie. I’ve so far only heard mixed reviews about them.
Also, you have spore prints ranked before spore syringes and I wondered if that was intentional. I’ve heard the prints are harder to work with than the syringes, which makes sense, but I’d also think the spore syringes would be more vulnerable in transit.

I have no experience, but I have read that you may want to try it with someone as a guide for the first time.
What is the best way to find either an experienced person, or maybe even a medical professional to help with my attempt to start my experiments.
Obviously I would be willing to compensate for the knowledge and effort. My “goal” would be to obtain an undisturbed state of mind, as in a meditative state, possibly for a long time.

I chose my kit from Midwest, it has been a great experience. I got the mega kit or whatever for 137.00, it is automated for fae/humidity. I have my hydroponic filter connected to the timer it came with, no real misting needed as this thing produces an insane about of moisture. It’s been a week, I have not misted more than 3 times OVERALL and each time I check my temps and RH they are perfect. Guage pegs out at 99%RH and the liquid graphite heat mat that it came with evenly distributes the heat to ensure zero hot-spots. I was indeed sceptical at first but has proved to be invaluable so far.

Im in Europe and this is my first experience with magic mushrooms, and I am wondering would it be better to get cultivated Golden Teacher psilocybe cubensis spore prints or picked wild Golden Teacher psilocybe cubensis spore prints? Is there a difference? The seller seems reputable its just when I read they were picked wild, I don’t know I thought maybe might not be a good idea? Like maybe the cultivated ones are better or safer somehow?

Are the supplies honestly cheaper to buy from you? Rather than hitting Lowes and Walmart ect… It seems like shipping would make it more. I bought the 3 bag starter kit and 2 syringes. Followed your instructions to a tee. First bag-inoculated approx 1/3 of the syringe. Kept it warm and in the dark. 3 months later- nothing. Had my friend help me with the second bag- inoculated as instructed, kept dark and warm. Nothing.
I spent $241 US for this product. I will try the last bag but I have very little hope for anything to grow. So very very disappointed in your company
