The restaurant was highly recommended by a staff at a nearby hotel. I wasn't sure what to expect but decided to try the noodle bowl with salmon. My husband had the veggie meatball with fettuccine, and we split the sweet potato fries. I was pleasantly surprised at the flavor of everything. Delicious! I told my husband that if we were in KW for a bit longer, I would try just about everything they had. Highly recommended.

Great spot for anyone looking for tasty vegetarian food during their key west visit.I and my husband visited this spot for lunch on a Thursday afternoon.Seated immediately without any wait.Staff are extremely friendly. We ordered their most popular veggie pizza. It comes with a salad on the side that is filling and tasty.Size of the pizza is decent and it is extremely filling because of the lot of veggie toppings it comes with.Would definitely recommend this place if you are looking for a vegetarian restaurant in key west.

While visiting we use reviews and seek out new places to try and when we came across the reviews for this place, we wondered how we’ve missed it in our many past trips, because the reviews were very nice! So, we stopped in for lunch on a weekday and they were moderately busy when we got there; by the time we left, they turned all tables twice! So, clearly they’re very popular with the locals!Their menu is an interesting mix of Asian, as well as standard American and tropical fare. We started with their spinach gyoza dumplings and they were INCREDIBLE! So much flavor!! Next up was a side salad, as I wanted to try one of their interesting freshly in-house made dressings and I tried their miso-ginger dressing… it was excellent and the salad was loaded with fresh veggies and leafy greens!Their sandwiches are what we opted for as entrées – Excellent choice, as they were fresh and tasty! Very nicely done!!In all, we really enjoyed our lunch, so we came back for drinks later that evening, as they have freshly made juices they use in their sangrias. The sangrias were decent as well. We’ll definitely return when we’re in town next!

After 3 days at a resort with no vegan food, we were dying for something good to eat. This was our first stop when we drove into Key West, and found amazingly good vegan and gluten free options. I got the curry in butternut squash which was so creative and delicious. My wife shared a vegan pizza and pita with hummus with our daughters. The hummus tasted homemade and very good. The pizza was very good and had a good mix of veggies. We also got fries which actually were great with the hummus. We really wish we could have come back!Side notes - at Noon on a Thursday we got seated right away and had our food in about 20-30 minutes. The workers were very friendly. We highly recommend this to any starving vegans visiting the Florida Keys, and to anyone else looking for a really good meals.

Went here twice this weekend and wanted to go even more times. I had the vegan french toast with a ton of delicious fruit on top and I could eat it again and again. I also had their homemade granola and fruit and it was really good as well. You can eat it like a breakfast cereal if you get almond or soy milk. Also the servers are always nice from this and past years experience.

The Cafe is a wonderful low key place to get really amazing food. I had their mushroom and falafel pita (special) and my wife had their avocado and quinoa salad with grilled shrimp. It becomes obvious that culinary excellence is what this restaurant aims for. A small spot that leaves a big impression.

Wish we had found this place earlier on our trip! Really quality and delicious food and drinks. Have brunch, lunch, and dinner options. Branden was wonderful and very pleasant. Loved this place - 100% coming back tomorrow. Don’t skip out on this.

Best restaurant in key west! The blackberry limeade and Arnold Palmer were amazing. I never order drinks besides water but I’m glad I got something different. The bok choy, veggie burger, and meatball sub were all on point! The service was excellent too. Lots of healthy vegan, vegetarian and seafood options! Highly recommend!

Put simply, this is one of the best restaurants I’ve ever been too. Food was so delicious. Very large/decent servings to leave you satisfied. And the staff were kind and always happy to help.A must stop if you’re vegan too! Both meals shared are vegan. But all of if not most of what they serve can be make vegan as well. But if you’re not vegan, they still have great meat options too. A place to stop and eat for everyone. Wish I could have stayed in Key West longer just to go back!!

The food is absolutely amazing, my family and I have dined here twice on our vacation and have been happy both times. The drinks and food are super fresh and tasty. The staff is super friendly. They do seem understaffed, so be patient and kind, it’s worth it.

Absolutely delicious vegan options! We got the Udon Noodle Bowl, the Kung Pao Tofu, and Key Lime Pie. Wonderful food, great vibe, friendly service!

I had the pleasure of visiting The Cafe and I must say it was an extraordinary culinary experience for any plant-based food enthusiast. From the moment I stepped in, I was immediately drawn in by the inviting ambiance of the restaurant, complemented by the captivating artwork gracing the walls. I saw their delectable vegan dishes online and couldn't wait to sample their offerings. The array of dishes I tried was nothing short of outstanding. The Truffled French Fries were perfectly crisp, and the addition of delectable vegan cheese on top took them to a whole new level of satisfaction. The Spinach Gyoza Dumplings were a delightful combination of flavors, and the Un-Wing Dings with tahini sauce stole the show as my favorite appetizer – absolutely exceptional! However, the true highlight of the meal was the Pepper "Steak" & Swiss sandwich. Made with seitan, sh*take & portobello mushrooms, peppers, onions, and vegan cheese, it evoked fond memories of a Philly Cheesesteak sandwich, but I dare say it surpassed my recollection of the traditional version. The flavors were incredibly rich, and the combination of ingredients was simply divine. On this sweltering day, the Dad's Classic Red sangria provided the perfect refreshment, and I found it to be a delightful complement to the dishes.Yet, what truly set The Cafe apart was the exceptional service provided by Lucas, our waiter. Despite the restaurant not being bustling with activity, there was still a considerable number of patrons dining on a busy Saturday afternoon, and Lucas managed everything with remarkable grace and efficiency. He managed all of the tables, including the bar patrons, and yet his attention to detail, extensive knowledge of the menu, and genuine warmth made us feel like we were the only guests in the restaurant.Lucas not only took our orders but also went the extra mile to provide suggestions, answer questions about the dishes, and engage in a friendly chat about his time in Key West and south Florida. His dedication to ensuring each guest received quality service was remarkable.Overall, The Cafe offers an unforgettable culinary experience that is sure to impress even the most discerning vegan foodies. The delicious food, especially the Pepper "Steak" & Swiss, combined with Lucas's exceptional service, made my visit truly memorable. I wholeheartedly recommend The Cafe to anyone in Key West, especially those who lead a plant-based lifestyle. It will undoubtedly become a must-visit spot every time you return to Key West.

Can’t recommend this place enough, specially for vegetarians and vegans. The food here was amazing, especially the blackened tofu with spicy Szechuan sauce stir fry.other thing I tried was the spinach gyoza dumplings, which were good. The service here was very welcoming and friendly

Hidden gem in Key West. Cute spot tucked away on a side street. Hands down one of the best salads I’ve ever had. The quinoa salad one day with grilled shrimp. The next day with grilled salmon. Breakfast choices do not disappoint either. Large portions, great service. Will definitely visit again when we go back to Key West!

Loved it! Great little cafe with delicious food and excellent service. Food was clean and scrumptious. I really enjoyed everything about this place and this meal. Off the beaten path by a block and well worth a look. I am not vegan but there are many healthy options here.

This was our fave spot to eat on the island! Staff is so lovely and wonderful 🥹 Great specials. The green goddess omelet is 🤤.. fabulous choices for vegans, vegetarians, flexiterians, gluten free and/or just foodies in general! A total gem. We tried many, many places in KW during our week long stay and this is the only place we came back to.. and came back 3x!

If you’re in to vegan food, just want to eat healthy or love restaurants that offer a unique vibe, you won’t want to miss The Cafe. Such a cool place. Great vibe! The food you ask? Off the charts! Best vegan dishes we’ve experienced so far in the States. Just amazing. Why not give it a try? You have nothing to lose and you’ll have a phenomenal experience! Dine with confidence!!
